Nishant returned home from school and was amazed to see his grandfather, who is a diabetic patient, was sitting and relishing a few bites of chocolate. He was inquisitive for he was experiencing an unusual spectacle. He could not wait to check out what that chocolate was. Thus he went closer and picked up the packet that read, ‘Zevic Cocoa Dark Chocolate with Stevia’.
Earlier he used to get scolded even when he expressed his desire to consume a little bit more chocolate than he was allowed to. His grandfather used to read out to him all the adverse consequences of this delicious piece which was like a forbidden fantasy to him. He started to remember all those moments where he struggled to even get hold of a tiny piece and found a stark contrast with today’s situation. He could not help but to speculate what had abruptly changed about these chocolates today, rather what was so exceptional about these chocolates that his grandfather who otherwise never dared to taste a piece of chocolate and advised everybody to stay away from it is acting in such a peculiar manner?
By that time Nishant’s bewilderment and his curiosity had grabbed his grandfather’s attention. At first, he did not respond and continued to indulge in this sinful luxury. Nishant could not stop but began to crave those chocolates terribly which his grandfather was devouring.
At last, his grandfather glanced at his amused face and smiled. He asked, “What are you staring at? Nishant!! Chocolates are still not suitable for your health but with this chocolate, things are a bit different.” Nishant seemed clueless. “This is a healthy chocolate, come close and read along with me, child,” said his grandfather. Grandfather went on to say that it was not like any other ordinary chocolates. It was neither irresponsibly processed nor did it contain harmful sweeteners. It was Zevic’s Dark Chocolate. Nishant excitedly asked, “So this chocolate is not harmful? I can have it?” To which his grandfather replied, “Yes child you can have it for it is actually quite healthy! It is a bar of coverture chocolate made out of authentic Belgian Cocoa Butter thus it is pure chocolate.” Nishant then asked, “How is it different from other chocolates?” “Our usual chocolates are compound chocolates. They use hydrogenated vegetable fat, though it is good to taste, it is not genuine chocolate” said his grandfather.
“Do you want to learn more about it?” asked his grandfather.
Nishant nodded in and began to listen to his grandfather. The old man started listing the positive aspects of this wonderful chocolate.
“Pay attention!” said his grandfather.
